How do you protect an idea for an app?

Unfortunately, there is no legal protection for ideas. The intellectual property laws viz. trademark, copyright, patent all protect expression of ideas, not the idea itself. However, there things that you can do to protect your app idea.

• Draft Non-Disclosure agreements wherever possible
• Trademark your name and the brand you are building or have built
• Bring your idea to reality, and then protect it legally with patent, copyright, or trademark.
